Nathalie Farman Farma of Décors Barbares knows how to decorate with prints.
I was lucky enough to visit Nathalie in her studio during my recent time in London. I found it hard to concentrate on our conversation as the room was so utterly divine. I'm sure I have never been in such a beautiful space.
The Décors Barbares collection is inspired by Nathalie's upbringing (living in diverse countries) and her fascination with the people, architectural and decorative history of Russia and Central Asia. Many of the designs are taken from pieces of fabric that Nathalie has sourced in her travels. Some are very intricate and all are very beautifully hand printed onto wonderfully tactile basecloths, in France.
Nathalie and her home appear in the current issue of British Vogue - worth having if you can get your hands on a copy. Nathalie has also given her tips for decorating with colour in an online interview with British Vogue - both words and images are very inspiring. To view, please click on the link below.
Luckily for those in Australia, the Décors Barbares collection is availalbe to both trade and retail at Nicola Lawrence. For further information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or view the collection at nicolalawrence.com.au.
